Risks & Disclaimers

Read this page. Proovly is a useful tool, but it has limitations and risks that you should understand before connecting your accounts or subscribing.

Proovly does not hold your funds, execute your trades, or manage your accounts. We connect to your existing accounts using read-only credentials (investor passwords, read-only API keys, public wallet addresses). We cannot trade on your behalf, withdraw your funds, or modify your account settings. Your broker, exchange, or DeFi protocol handles all of that.

Subscriptions to Proovly pay for verification features, faster sync, and signals marketplace access. They are not investments and do not generate financial returns. Signal subscriptions are payments for trade ideas from other users — they are not managed accounts or guaranteed returns.

Read-only access means we can’t lose your money

Section titled “Read-only access means we can’t lose your money”

Every connection Proovly makes to your trading accounts is read-only:

  • MT4/MT5: Connected via investor password, which MetaTrader enforces as read-only at the protocol level
  • Crypto exchanges: Connected via API keys with read-only permissions. Keys with trading or withdrawal permissions are rejected at connection time.
  • DeFi wallets: Connected via public wallet address. We read public blockchain data. No keys, no signatures.

There is no mechanism by which Proovly’s connection to your account can cause a loss of funds.

MetaApi cloud cost is passed through in subscription

Section titled “MetaApi cloud cost is passed through in subscription”

MT4/MT5 verification runs through MetaApi’s cloud infrastructure, which has per-account costs. This is why forex connections require the Verified tier ($19/mo) or higher. The subscription fee covers this infrastructure cost. If MetaApi changes their pricing, our tier pricing may adjust accordingly.

Your profile shows data from the most recent sync. Depending on your tier, this could be daily, every 15 minutes, or minute-by-minute. Between syncs, your actual account state may differ from what your Proovly profile shows. Real-time accuracy requires the Elite tier.

Any forex rates displayed on the Proovly platform (in tickers, dashboards, or widgets) are indicative prices sourced from public feeds. They are not executable prices and may differ from the rates your broker offers. Do not use Proovly’s displayed rates for trading decisions.

Proovly does not operate in sanctioned jurisdictions or regions where the service would violate local regulations. Users are responsible for ensuring they are legally permitted to use the platform in their jurisdiction. Do not use VPNs to circumvent geographic restrictions.

Proovly relies on several third-party services:

  • MetaApi for MT4/MT5 connections. If MetaApi is down, forex stats don’t sync until it recovers.
  • CCXT for crypto exchange connections. Exchange API changes or outages may temporarily interrupt sync.
  • Base network for on-chain ELO. If Base experiences an outage, ELO updates are queued and written when the network resumes.
  • Individual brokers and exchanges. If your broker or exchange changes their API, restricts access, or goes offline, your Proovly sync for that account is affected.

We monitor all of these and handle interruptions gracefully, but we cannot guarantee uptime for services we don’t control.

Verified stats on your Proovly profile are visible to other users. This is the point — verified public performance. If you don’t want your trading performance to be public, don’t connect your accounts to Proovly.

On-chain ELO is permanently public on Base. Once written, it cannot be deleted or hidden.

Proovly is built by a small team. We could fail, run out of runway, or need to wind down.

If Proovly disappears:

  • Your trading accounts are unaffected. We have read-only access that you can revoke at any time.
  • Your on-chain ELO persists on Base forever. It doesn’t depend on our servers.
  • Your broker account, exchange account, and DeFi wallet continue to function independently.

Nothing on this site, in the docs, or in the app constitutes financial advice, investment recommendations, tax guidance, or legal counsel. Past performance of traders on the platform is not indicative of future results. Verified stats mean the numbers are real — they don’t mean the trader will be profitable in the future. You are responsible for your own decisions.
